Eterna certified extension stylist

Eterna Medusa hair extensions in Ormond Beach

More length, more body, or a ribbon of color, in 100% virgin human hair from a single donor. Vanessa installs and cuts each weft into your own hair at Hair Goddess Salon, Spa & Boutique on 236 Riverbeach Dr. in Ormond Beach.

Every extension client starts with a consultation appointment, because the wefts are paid for and ordered before your install.

Why Eterna Medusa wefts

Eterna sells Medusa wefts only to trained professionals. These are the qualities Eterna describes in the hair, from how it is sourced to how long it wears.

  • One donor, cuticle intact

Eterna makes each weft from virgin hair from a single donor, with the cuticle still aligned. Eterna says that gives the hair a soft, natural shine and lets you curl, straighten, and wear it the way you wear your own.

  • Thick ends, light weight

Eterna builds Medusa wefts with denser ends than a traditional weft, so the bottom of your hair looks full without loading extra grams onto your scalp.

  • A shorter install

According to Eterna, each Medusa row takes about 15 minutes to put in.

  • Rated for 12-18 months

Cared for well and moved up on schedule, the hair carries an Eterna rating of 12 to 18 months of wear.

Good candidates

When Medusa extensions make sense

Unsure whether extensions are right for you yet? Vanessa tells you at the consultation, even if her advice is to start with color or a cut.

  • Fine hair that goes flat no matter what you use
  • Length that never seems to get past a certain point
  • Hair that has thinned out after years of blonding
  • A wedding, a milestone event, or a stretch of photo-heavy months
  • A ribbon of dimension or color without lightening your natural hair

Weights and rows

Choosing the right Medusa weft for your hair

Medusa wefts go in as rows. How heavy each weft is, and how many rows you get, depends on the density of your own hair and how dramatic a change you are after.

    18", 20", or 24"
    Weft weight

    Available lengths
    18", 20", or 24"

    Available lengths
    18", 20", or 24"
    Weft weight

Made-to-order Medusa wefts

For something outside the core range, Eterna produces custom wefts from 14 to 32 inches, in a choice of textures, in a listed shade or a color you request. Eterna allows about 4-6 weeks for production, so start early if there is a wedding or event on the calendar.

The process

Four steps from phone call to finished extensions

  1. 01

    Book a consultation

Call the salon and ask reception for an extension consultation with Vanessa. Extensions always start this way, whether you want more length, more body, or a touch of color.

  2. 02

    Consultation and shade match

In person, Vanessa studies your density, length, and color, suggests a weft and a row count, and gives you the price. Your wefts are then paid for and ordered.

  3. 03

    Installation day

The rows are installed, then Vanessa cuts the extension hair into your own so there is no visible step between the two.

  4. 04

    Move-ups and home care

Your natural growth carries the rows down, so they are moved back up on a schedule Vanessa gives you, along with a simple routine for keeping the hair soft.

Coastal care

Caring for extensions in Ormond Beach sun and salt

Beach days, the pool, and strong sun are part of life here. These routines help Medusa hair stay soft and glossy for as long as your install lasts.

  • Ocean and pool days

Put your hair in a braid or a low ponytail before swimming. Rinse it with fresh water right after the ocean or the pool, then condition.

  • Sun and hot tools

Strong sun dries out hair much as it dries out skin. Put heat protectant on before any hot tool, and wear a hat for long afternoons outdoors.

  • Overnight

A silk or satin bonnet at night stops the wefts from rubbing and keeps the ends from knotting.

  • Brushing

Work from the ends upward, holding the hair near the rows so they are not tugged. Vanessa explains which brush to use at your install.

  • Treatments and water

Ask Vanessa before any keratin, protein, or other treatment goes on the extension hair, and tell her if you have well water or hard water at home, since water can change how the hair feels over time.

Pricing

How extension pricing works

Three choices shape the cost: the number of wefts, the weight, and the length. No two heads of hair need the same thing, so Vanessa prices your install at your consultation, once she has seen your hair.

  • Your price is set at the consultation, and the wefts are paid for and ordered before install day
  • Ask about move-up appointments at the start, since they are part of wearing extensions

Booking policy

  • Change or cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a charge.
  • Same-day cancellations result in a 50% charge.
  • A no-call, no-show results in a 100% charge.
  • No refunds once a service has been completed.

What do hair extensions cost in Ormond Beach?

The total comes from three choices: how many wefts, which weight, and which length. Vanessa prices it at your consultation, after she has seen your hair. Call 386-872-2263 and reception will book the consultation.

Are Medusa wefts made from real human hair?

They are. Eterna makes Medusa wefts from 100% virgin human hair from a single donor, with the cuticle left in place. That is the source of the natural shine, and the reason the hair styles and behaves like your own.

How long can I wear Medusa extensions?

With proper care, Eterna puts the life of the hair at 12 to 18 months. As your own hair grows, the rows are moved up on a schedule Vanessa gives you on install day.

Is it safe to swim in the ocean with extensions in?

Many people do, with some preparation. Braiding your hair first, rinsing it in fresh water soon after the sea, and conditioning all help, because salt and chlorine both tend to dry hair. Vanessa explains aftercare for your install.

Are extensions an option if my hair is fine?

Often, yes. For fine hair, Eterna's guidance is two Medusa OG wefts, and Vanessa will check at the consultation how much your hair can carry comfortably.

How do you match the extensions to my color?

Vanessa works from 24 Eterna shades and 2 dimensional shades, and two shades can be blended to sit with highlights or balayage, which Vanessa plans at your consultation. If your own color needs refreshing first, she will tell you.

Why do extensions start with a consultation?

The wefts are chosen for your hair, then paid for and ordered before the install, so every extension client has a consultation appointment first. That is where Vanessa matches your shade, picks the weight and length, and gives you the price.

Could I order the hair myself and bring it in?

No. Eterna sells Medusa wefts only to trained professional stylists, so Vanessa places the order once your shade, weight, and length are settled.
